Paper flowers on tour
Paper flowers on display at the quirky 18th-century 16 sided A la Ronde go on their own “Grand Tour”.
In 1784 the Parminter cousins of A la Ronde set off on a grand tour of Europe. Over several years these intrepid women explored France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and possibly Spain and Portugal, before returning to England. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/a-la-ronde/features/the-history-of-a-la-ronde
I love the idea of my paper flowers going “on tour” in Devon, the home of these amazing ladies. Some of my bouquets of paper flowers were exhibited at the Exmouth Art Group Summer Exhibition at Ocean, the seafront venue overlooking the beautiful Exe Estuary. http://www.exmouthartgroup.org.uk/
From here, an arrangement of paper flowers featured in the florist window in Honiton throughout the Christmas season. Complete with two dashing papercut reindeers the flower arrangement nestled amongst the fragrant blooms of East Devon wedding florists Haughty Culture http://www.haughty-culture.co.uk/
